Context
In Burkina Faso, care still relies largely on paper records and health booklets; patients carry their own medical history from a health centre to the hospital.
Problem
Hours of waiting before a consultation, records lost during transfers and caregivers who cannot see the patient’s history.
Objective
A unique record code per patient, digital consultation tickets and a shared, protected and logged medical record.
Architecture
Architecture proposed in the specification: a Flutter mobile app for patients and field agents, a web platform for professionals, a secured REST API and a PostgreSQL database. Final choices are validated during design.

Technical decisions
Write before coding
Each requirement has an identifier and a priority; the functional guide describes every flow screen by screen and drives acceptance testing.
